At Associated Builders and Contractors, we believe that career opportunities in this nation should be created and made available to all people.

Preventing suicide occupies people’s thoughts in various industries, from teaching to food service to emergency first responders to air traffic controllers to construction. When suicide happens, it affects not only the families and friends of the victim but co-workers too.

Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. (ABC) is the largest open‑shop construction trade association in the United States and has a vast network of state organizations and local chapters, as well as a strong national office. ABC is the only organization that can serve Contractors and Subcontractors in all trades (as well as Suppliers and Associates) who want to conduct their business in an unrestricted market. ABC Maine Chapter represents builders and contractors across the State of Maine.

What an exciting year for Workforce Development. After two years of online training, we have put together a monthly in-person training schedule. We are looking forward to seeing you there.

I am honored and excited to have the opportunity to serve as your Chair. However, I know that I have some big shoes to fill. Mitch DeBlois has done an excellent job the last couple of years, and his passion for ABC Maine and our members has not gone unnoticed. Thank you, Mitch, for all the time, energy and dedication you brought to ABC Maine as Chair.

It’s hard to believe I am in my 17th year at ABC Maine. I am so blessed, and it continues to be an honor to work with such a passionate group of people in our lovely state of Maine.
