Over 1,000 high school students from around the state attended the Craft Championship at the Augusta Civic Center on Friday, April 4. Students had the opportunity to experience a variety of skill sets that might be encountered in the construction industry.
Approximately 45 contractors, businesses and schools set up booths, tables, exhibits and projects, many with hands-on activities, to engage students and meet their future workforce face to face.
During the Craft Championship, we had 19 students from 8 CTE schools compete in the Electrical Competition.
The winners are:
1st Year Electrical Competition: Jake Barber, Sanford Regional Technical Center
2nd Year Electrical Competition: Tyler Clark, Somerset Career & Technical Center
Riley Bouley Award: Brady Bryant, Waldo County Technical Center
Save the Date! Next year’s Craft Championship will be on April 3, 2026.
