We just survived a year like no other.
We talk about normalcy; do we even know what that is anymore? 2020 was like no other. Our focus was on daily reports of the pandemic, how many cases, how many were hospitalized, and sadly, how many deaths. We saw businesses, schools, and borders closed, and waited for them to reopen. We learned about phases, N95 masks and Zoom. We saw grocery store shelves empty and “out of stock” too many times when shopping online.
Domestic Isolation was a term I was introduced to, and perhaps you were one of the unlucky ones and called me on a day I was suffering from it, which would be why I kept you on the phone forever.
Regardless, through it all, ABC Maine kept on working. We were deemed essential workers and construction continued. For this, I am thankful. Some of my peers across the nation did not fare as well.
It is an honor to be at the top of your call list when you have questions, and even when I did not know the answer, I welcomed the challenge of getting it for you.

Here we are, a few months into 2021, and I wish for all of you a better year; safer, healthier and, hopefully, one where I can eventually embrace you and see you in person. For that is what I miss most.
