Participating ABC member firms commit to paying 1 cent per work hour in support of scholarships and construction programming in Maine’s Career and Technical Education schools.
Participating member firms track their work hours (which must be tracked for workers’ compensation reporting anyway) and email them to ABC Maine each quarter. ABC will create and return an invoice for payment.
Here are some examples of CENT for CTE costs, based on a firm’s number of employees:
- 10 employees x 2,000 hours per year = 20,000 work hours per year x $0.01 per hour = $200 annual commitment
- 25 employees x 2,000 hours per year = 50,000 work hours per year x $0.01 per hour = $500 annual commitment
- 50 employees x 2,000 hours per year = 100,000 work hours per year x $0.01 per hour = $1,000 annual commitment
For associate and supplier members, annual donations of $250, $500, $750 or more are available.
